Research Requests

Patrons are encouraged to visit the GTHC to conduct research in person. For researchers who are unable to visit Galveston, our archivists can conduct limited research services for a fee.

Charges include:

• Research up to 15 minutes is free of charge. If your request will take longer than 15 minutes, History Center staff will contact you before proceeding any further.
• For Galveston County residents and non-profits, research beyond 15 minutes is charged at $40 per hour. For non-residents and commercial use, research beyond 15 minutes is charged at $60 per hour.
• Additional reproduction fees may apply. Please see the Reproduction Policy and Price List for details.

Email requests are strongly encouraged. However, you may mail a reference question along with a self-addressed stamped envelope and a check payable to the Rosenberg Library to:
