Patrons are encouraged to visit the collection in person. For out-of-towners who are unable to visit Galveston, History Center Archivists will provide limited reference service for a fee. 

Charges include:

• Research up to 30 minutes is free of charge. If your request will take longer than 30 minutes, History Center staff will contact you before proceeding any further.

• For Galveston County residents and non-profits, research beyond 30 minutes is charged at $40 per hour. For non-residents and commercial use, research beyond 30 minutes is charged at $60 per hour.

• Additional reproduction fees may apply. Please see the Reproduction Policy and Price List for details.
