Verso: "The Sea-wall is a massive structure of concrete and stone rising 17 feet above sea level. The entire city has been filled in to the level of the top of the wall. Extending 5 miles along the edge of the Gulf of Mexico the top of the sea-wall forms a beautiful promenade boulevard that attracts visitors from all parts of the world." Published by Seawall Specialty Co., Houston and Galveston, Texas.
